In accepting the president's award at the 2010 BMI Latin Awards, Colombian star Juanes forwent the pomp and circumstance usually associated with these events in favor of a more subtle, introspected celebration.

"Like all my colleagues here, I've been writing ever since I can remember," said Juanes, who took the stage with five members of his band.

"It's a pleasure to share this moment with all of you," he added, before going into understated, acoustic renditions of his hits which rendered the music in a different, sometimes more beautiful light.

Billboard's new pan-European sales charts show Sade starting a third week atop European Albums with "Soldier of Love" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment), while Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" (RCA/Sony Music Entertainment) moves into a fifth week at No. 1 on Hot 100 Singles.

The Sade album stays at No. 1 in France and Hungary and moves 2-1 in the Czech Republic and the Belgian region of Wallony, but falls from the summit to No. 2 in Italy and Sweden. Steady at No. 2 in Switzerland and No. 3 in Portugal, its descent has been more rapid in the United Kingdom, where the set has moved 4-11-21.

The Roots' long-delayed album "How I Got Over" has a new release date. The set will now come out June 8 on Def Jam, according to a Twitter post from drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson.

"How I Got Over" was originally expected last June, then in the fall and in early 2010, but was continually pushed back because the Roots kept recording new material in the midst of their stint as the house band on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." "Since March, I think we have about 723 jams in the can," Thompson told Billboard last October. "There is a difference between a performance if you play with musicians that are in sync rather than doing it isolated and alone -- there's just a different energy when we do it this way."
